It is a logo for a boat. Logo would be put on the transom of the actual boat as well as on hats, shirts, bags etc.
The boat is a fishing boat that competes in tournaments as well as cruises around the Bahamas

I was thinking that I wanted something traditional like the pictures. Notorious is a strong name. The actual boat it is going on is something almost exactly like the jpeg "yellowfin_42cc_02.jpg". It would go in the transom or the white space in front of the motors.
Because of the boat, I am open to designs and suggestions outside the traditional in the pictures.
The fish we are fishing for are sailfish and marlin in case you wanted to see illustrations or incorporate into design.

If you use fonts that require a license, confirm with the client they're ok with it. For licensing reasons, it is better to provide your client with information on how to acquire the font rather than providing the actual files.
Text in logos should be converted to outlines.
