Skylights Plus needs a new website design

We sell and install Skylights and Ventilation systems for both home and commercial properties.

The basic colours on the existing site are good - shades of blue, some yellow highlights, and white. General feel should be bright and clean. You should be able to use the sample of images on the product pages in the design - we may update some of them later. Content fonts should be easily readable. We don't hate the existing site - it does work well, is easily navigated, and is search-engine friendly - but we don't feel that it showcases or sells the products very well. We don't want to go over the top with images, but the products should be core focus of the site.

The homepage: - Highlight perhaps 2 of our key products, capturing attention with good images. Perhaps a banner scroller would work? - The menu should be clearly seen and navigated. - Clearly display phone contact details and key titles like 'Skylight & Ventilation Specialists'. - Allow for at least one short testimonial (this can change dynamically) - Have a promotional area to highlight specials etc - like the current Display Unit box but nicer - doesn't need to be as wordy. Current promo box looks cheap. - A short text introduction, no longer than the existing one. - Not be overly busy - user should be able to find their way around very easily without being drowned in images and information. General feel should be bright and clean. - Does need some reference to being a Solatube Premiere Dealer as per the current banner. The Product page: - To replace www.skylightsplus.com.au/skylights/tubular - a page featuring a few products. - The goal of the page is to capture user attention immediately, I'm thinking the best way to do this is using good product imagery. - Should really sell the products by clearly displaying good product images. As per the current, each product will have a short text summary and a PDF brochure.

Should avoid being too busy - keep it as clean as possible, so most attention is drawn to the product images.
