Digivine got their new web page design by running a design contest:
Create the next website design for Airtight Construction
Check out Digivine's Web page design contest…
Airtight Construction is a construction company and general contractor specializing in roofing that needs a sleek new website to stand out from their competition. The target audience is largely composed of business prospects so the website should highlight previous projects, testimonials, certifications, etc. and encourage visitors to call.
The style should be a balance between architectural simplicity and business professionalism. The design should reflect the nature of the business, so ideas like using roofing or siding as a background or texture (just as an example) are fair game as long as they don't seem to cartoonish or detract from the site's professionalism. Attention to detail, clean lines, and style will be significant factors in our review. A brochure for ATC has been included for context. The logo needs to be at least similar to the diamond ATC logo seen on the current site, but the typeface and color scheme may be tweaked to better suit the design if desired.
See the attached image, ATC-Sketch.jpg, for a sketch of a potential homepage layout. The exact layout may be up to your own interpretation, but those sections should all be there: logo, phone numbers, horizontal navigation, photo showcase, headline/tagline, testimonial, bid request, certification logos, and footer. The goals of the homepage are to present a summary of ATC's business, examples of past work, clear site structure, and imbue confidence by conveying the professionalism and history of the business.

And then… they selected a winner!
We could not be happier with Lion King.. He was responsive in every way. He was one of few designers that actually started with our vision as a base and then got creative from there. Others went off in the weeds and could not be pulled back to the base line vision. Lion King was also very good with numerous revisions and trying new concepts. We would recommend Lion King to anyone.
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
