We are Lull.com - an online mattress company that sells premium mattresses that ship in a boxes that are about the size of a mini-fridge. We are all about a positive customer experience - we offer free shipping, and a 100 night trial to each customer to make sure they are satisfied with our product. If they don't love their Lull mattress, we'll come pick it up from their home and give them a full refund. We're all about convenience, customer satisfaction, and providing an excellent product for a good night's sleep. Description of the product target audience
We're in the middle of a brand evolution from a single product company marketed to millennials to a multi-product company marketed towards consumers of all income levels. We want to evolve with our current customers as they move into their next stages in life (first home, marriage, first child, etc.) Goal: attract a new target demographic, progress our brand image, stand out in crowded retail
Objective Create a digital box rendering for our newest and most luxurious mattress: The Luxe Hybrid Mattress (Queen Size) Background • Lull currently sells (1) mattress: The Original Lull Mattress (Current packaging shown in attachments) • We want to update lion from our current box to something more abstract and mature. We've included some examples of things we like in the attachments. The box will be used for both our DTC channel and our Retail channel. In retail the boxes will be stored at the back of the showroom as “grab & go” products. Packaging does not need to “sell” the product. Commissioned sales associates will own the sales process. • Brand positioning: Luxury products at factory-direct prices • (3) new mattresses planned to launch this year, which will bring our total assortment to (4) mattresses. All (3) new mattresses are priced up from our Original Mattress. • The Luxe Hybrid packaging design should lend itself to allow for continuity across all (4) mattress box designs. E.g. -> The Casper Foam & Casper Hybrid boxes utilize the same design, but with an inverted color scheme. (please see attachments) • Theme: Modern, simple, elegant, luxurious • Logo should be prominent • Color scheme: Navy/White or Brown/White • Packaging dimensions: 20.5” x 20.5” x 42” • Native files for approved Lull logos can be found in the attachments • Style Guide: https://lull.com/style-guide • The box should follow the same principals outlined in the style guide. • Fonts should all be from the Avenir family (you can download them from the style guide)
What to avoid
-We're open to creative ideas and interpretations of this - the biggest challenge will be to keep it as simple as possible since we will be printing with a die cutter and we can't get too detailed with super fine lines and illustrations. -We can also only use 2 colors on the box: White/Navy (296c) or White/Kraft (brown) -Please check out our website lull.com to get an idea of our brand and identity :)
