Masala Chai Mead

We produce world class mead braggot craft beverages. These are light in flavour and feature fermented Ontario wild-flower honey as the source to create alcohol making them very sweet and delicious. Our Masala Chai Mead if part of our "Ancient Tea Mead" series of products. Smooth, complex flavours of vanilla, cinnamon, cardamom, organic cloves among other spices make this like an alcohol chai tea latte without the cream and much sweeter.

Alcohol purchasers over the age of 19, typically between 22-35 and appeals more to women in our findings. Someone who would traditionally purchase canned ciders, wine, or ready-to-drink beverages and is used to spending $3-5 dollars per "beverage" that they buy at retail. Income level: $50,000+ individual or $80,000 combined household Appeals most to a customer who has tried hundreds if not thousands of other beers or ready-to-drink beverages and is looking to experience something new. Mead if argued to me the oldest alcoholic beverage to have existed and made mostly famous by vikings, and medieval royalty. Our mead braggot style however are much lighter in alcohol, 5% and are higher in carbonation making them what we call session meads and appeal to just about anyone looking to try a new take on an old category of alcoholic beverages.

We are looking to create a very sleek, minimal "slim" can design to increase excitement around this product line changing over to 296mL (10 fl. oz) cans. The fact that it is "NEW" can be incorporated in a small way to make it very obvious to our customers that this is a innovative new take on this style of beverage and justifies their attention to pick it up and observe the rest of the design. We want the fact that it is made with honey to be shown visually in subtle ways throughout the design that can be used to create continuity between our other lines of meads that we make. This can include the use of honey combs, bees, honey stir sticks, honey pots, etc we are open to suggestions but would like this detail to in one sense, scream the fact its made with honey but done in a subtle way like a silhouette, or in the patterns, cartoon imagery etc. The use of shiny materials can be used and is encouraged as well as the use of matte finishes in other areas. The idea of incorporating the beer/honey imagery through a similar design to that seen in "henna tattoos" thus appealing to more of a female demographic. If this can be done in a subtle way or as small features included in special spots of the can. Designs from high end premium craft ciders, cold-filtered coffee, and other up and coming artisanal products should be a strong inspiration to the overall design of this mead product.

No use of stock imagery. Must be an original design that is very sleek and minimalistic so exceptionally busy designs should be avoided. No medieval interruptions and preferably no vikings references as well. Though if Viking imagery is included make sure this done in a very modern way or it will not be selected.
