Our company, Herbalosophy Beauty Inc. is a professional hair care product company with multiple hair care product lines targeted to different market segments.
What's your vision?
In this contest, we will focus on our high end herbal inspired natural hair care line - Herbalosophy. We want to change the bottle design (which is already confirmed) with a creative label design (which is the purpose for this contest). You can view our existing (1st Gen) bottle designs and artworks here for your reference: http://www.herbalosophybeauty.com/ We have already came up with a new bottle shape for the new packaging. Please see the attached file: 2nd Gen Bottle Designs.pdf or 2nd Gen Bottle Designs.ai. The bottle will be in matte finish. We will still use white bottle for shampoo and gray bottle for conditioner. The label artwork will be screened on the bottle. PLEASE KEEP THIS IN MIND BECAUSE A TOO COMPLICATED OR A TOO DETAILED DESIGN SUCH AS A COMPLICATED PATTERN OR DRAWINGS, ESPECIALLY WITH THE LOTS FINE LINES, CAN'T BE 100% PERFECTLY SCREENED ON THE BOTTLE. The new designs will come with 6 products with the same design themes but different color variations. FOR THIS CONTEST, YOU WILL ONLY NEED TO SUBMIT 1 DESIGN FOR THE MAGNIFICENT MOISTURE SHAMPOO. BUT PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT THE CONDITIONER IS IN A GRAY BOTTLE, MAKE SURE YOUR DESIGN CAN APPLY TO IT NICELY. IT WOULD BE BETTER IF YOU CAN MAKE AN ILLUSTRATION WITH THE CONDITIONER BOTTLE, SO WE CAN SEE THE OVERALL LOOKING. We have already chosen the color variations for the products, and we think it would be the best fit for our industry. But of course you are more than welcome to change the color, but please make sure you do some research in the beauty industry before choosing the color. CONTEST WINNER MAY ASK TO FINISH THE REMAINING DESIGNS WITH DIFFERENT COLOR VARIATIONS WITH US. The file 2nd Gen Bottle Designs.ai will be your template to create your design. The template has the correct sizes. Couple points to mention: - Please do not rely on the wordings on the templates, they are just for your reference and they are flattened. For your convenience, I have attached the Word document (or the PDF if you don't have Word) for the MAGNIFICENT MOISTURE SHAMPOO. Please use these wordings to create your design. - The only things you can use from the template are the barcode, logo (The one on the template is missing the R symbol, you can add that on or use the logo files attached), and the plant symbols at the bottom of the bottle. - The plant symbol visually represents the featured ingredient in the product. You are more than welcome to create your own version of plant symbols. It could be modern, luxury, elegant, contemporary and etc... - In the middle of the bottle, there is a color strip bar with a special rounded shape on two ends. This is like the element of the brand. From the Heralosophy website, you can see that our 1st Gen design has a leaf shape color bar in the middle. Is this mandatory? I would say yes or no. From our perspective, there should be something unique that stands out on the label design besides the logo to catch eyeballs and make memory points for consumers. Release your creativity!
Overall, we want a design with a modern, elegant, high end, and contemporary feeling while it can also represent the art of natural and organic. If you look closely on the logo, there are two leaves with a yin-yang concept, which means balance. Here we are the slogan / tagline: BEAUTY IN BALANCE. Hope this can help for your inspiration.
