Business & Consulting
We are business consultants specializing in helping companies deal with communication breakdowns. Be it with and between their staff, and/or their customers, we are hired by companies to look into ways to make their message come across loud and clear. There are three "buckets" we work in. These are Talent Management (HR related activities and services), Customer Experience (think customer service training, but bigger and related to the brand of a company) and Social Broadcasting (the way a company broadcasts its message to their community/audience/world, either online or through targeted promotions). We are a young company that does business as unusual. We don't like formalities and we are on first name basis wether you are a janitor or a CEO. We are all equal and we work to solve issues, not to show off. If we can't help you, chances are we know someone else who can and we would be happy to refer you to them. We want to stay true to our ethics and take on many small projects that each deliver big results. We are different, and that's the "Open Box" way. Check out the values section of our website to get more information on our persona.
What's your vision?
We are looking to design an innovative brochure that highlights who we are, what we have to offer, and why someone should choose us. All the services we have are on our website www.anopenbox.com and we want to keep the brochure look and feel consistent with what you see online. As stated above, we work in three main areas, each of which is then broken down further. We don't want to make the brochure overwhelming, rather we'd like for people to get the gist of who we are and what we offer, as well as how we work (you'll find a 7-step approach on our website) so that they can understand why they should work with us. From the 7-step approach, the brochure serves the first step which is the "tune-in". Are we the right fit for our customer and are they the right fit for us? The brochure helps us communicate that question and serves as a quick reminder for them to check our website to find out more. We want the design and the format of the brochure to be creative. We are called "Open Box Communication" so this better be different and "out of the box" thinking. We have a concept of using an elephant as a company mascot, so if you are so inclined to incorporate the elephant concept in the brochure, that would be great. The reason for the elephant is so that we can make reference to the expression "don't ignore the elephant in the room" as in the issues that exist but people choose to ignore, usually due to convenience. We imagine the elephant to be an outline of the animal's body so that it's clear that it's an elephant without going into cartoony type of illustrations, all the while sticking to a professional yet young and innovative design. Our colours are grey and yellow, so the grey works well with the elephant concept. As part of the innovative nature of the brochure, we would like to incorporate an element of surprise, i.e. two pockets whereby our business cards can be placed inside. We use moo.co.uk to print our cards and the size we choose is the Moo mini (please visit the website for more). Any other suggestions would be welcome. We love using QR codes so that would be something cool to see. Other than that, feel free to express your creativity. We have attached the look and feel of our business cards and our logo. Please visit our website for more. Oh, and you'll notice that the typography on our logo can be positioned in different ways. The one attached here is the primary logo whereas what's on the website is the web version. We use Gulim font for headlines and Eurostyle for content. Also please note that our default sizes are the European ones i.e. A4 paper instead of Letter size.
Our target market is mostly business executives, either in management or top-dog positions. But who cares? Anyone could be our audience. Yes we want to come across as professionals they can trust, but we don't want to put you in a box so that you can think traditionally and design what our competition uses. We want to be different, so please keep that in mind. We love how websites like mailchimp.com and moo.com use an informal language to talk to their audience. We do the same thing, so we can't come across as traditional. As for geographical region and culture... we work in Cyprus and the Middle East. Don't know how that may help you, but hey. Enjoy and we look forward to your designs!
