What's your vision?
The contest is for a complete book cover including the spine and back. Title: The Unbreakable Rules of Marketing Subtitle: 9 1/2 Ways to Get People to Love You By Cathey Armillas & Jeff Berry SIze: 5.5" x 8.5" (trim) Concept: 1) Make it clean. Use a lot of white space. Only use black and red. 2) Work hard on the typography. Highlight "Unbreakable Rules" as this will be the series of books. The "the" should be downplayed and the "of Marketing" should be given relevance but in a separate way from the Unbreakable Rules. The next book will be "The Unbreakable Rules of Creativity". We want to be able to just switch out the marketing for creativity. 3) Incorporate one simple imagery element for "unbreakable". Whether it be the sledge hammer we attached or something else. But just keep it to one simple concept. And PLEASE...nothing in regards to the "get people to love you". 4) Put the title up top and the subtitle and name on the bottom. Think confident. Think best seller! Most best sellers utilize clean and simple designs. Colors: Red, black and white. Who the book is for: The book is written for anyone who wants to know more and understand how to use foundational principles to create exceptional marketing so it will be marketed as mainstream.
All artwork and design files need to be submitted as layered files in any of the following formats: PSD, EPS, INDD, or AI. Any graphics, imagery, and/or photography used MUST have permission to be used in multiple print runs for sales and/or from sources where extended licensing can be purchased for such, but any extra costs for licensing cannot exceed $100. The attached sledge hammer graphic is owned by us and can be used freely for this project.
