We are an event that brings together artists and scientists to create beautiful and scientifically correct science films over just three days. The idea is that while scientists understand science very well, they often fall short when trying to communicate it - artists are incredible visualisers and can inject science with art and narrative! The key parts of our event are: - to offer an innovative, exciting and open space for the participants (artists and scientists) to explore science communication - to teach scientists how to become better communicators - to create beautiful science films that communicate real science to the public

EDIT: having seen the first few designs, I would say the most important part of the design is the artistic style - we want unique and striking. Posters are created for the public showing of the films produced during the 3 days. We would like to engage non-scientist adults and children. The cinema event will offer the opportunity to talk with the participants, watch the films on the big screen and vote for their favourite. While the poster/ flyer will advertise the public event we would like to use the design/ element of the design in other promo material - facebook, insta etc So we want it to be striking and informative. I leave last years poster design attached. We liked it but didnt love it. The design does well to incorporate science/switzerland and filmmaking well. I would also happily takes comments on the logo..its a work in progress. The logo needs to be a reasonably big part of the poster.
