christian 7i got their new other design by running a design contest:
New Visual Guideline (Corporate Design) for Bits & Pretzels
Check out christian 7i's Other design contest…
Important note: This is not a logo design contest! Please use the logo from the atteached zip-file. Bits & Pretzels is Europe‘s largest festival for founders. The 3-day conference brings together the world’s leading entrepreneurs and investors to share their ideas on emerging technologies and trends in digital business. We deliver high quality content and a perfect organization, but at Bits & Pretzels attendees will also be well entertained. We designed an event, which we would like ourselves to take part in. Bavaria and the Oktoberfest play an important role in the look and feel of our event on-site. In the graphic design we tend to keep the influence of these elements lower than at the actual event. Sounds very serious, but Bits & Pretzels is also a lot of fun. Check out some pictures of the event: https://www.flickr.com/photos/bitsandpretzels/sets/72157660380347898 Also check our website: http://www.bitsandpretzels.com
What's your vision?
What we are looking for is a graphical design toolbox that helps us creating a consistent look & feel throughout all our communication channels. This graphical language should achieve the following with the viewer: · High recognition factor regardless of the used media (e.g. Poster, magazine ad, Facebook, email newsletter, website etc.) · Stand out of the everyday jumble of advertising. · Reflect the overall mixture of Bits & Pretzels between seriousness and fun. Furthermore it is very important that the look can be easily applied to existing media like our website. These examples should give you an idea of which kind of designs we like: http://www.rocketandwink.com/work/4956701/online_marketing_rockstars_ci Pro: Very high recognition value, perfectly adaptable toolbox Con: Colors too strident for our event https://www.behance.net/gallery/The-Voyager-Cafe/9711059 Pro: Adaptable Con: Too serious https://www.behance.net/gallery/Ink/4195571 Pro: high recognition value Con: Too many details, too many colors What you should deliver? The final result of this contest should be a brand book, which can be used to adapt all our existing designs. To show the adaptability of your design please pick some of the attached Indesign templates (designs.zip) and apply your design to them. (Note: We don't want you to design all the different medias from the .zip file. But you can use them to show the versatility and adaptability of your idea) Thanks for your effort. Feel free contact us for questions any time.
Our style is always a balancing act between seriousness and fun. It should reflect the two elements of our event, top-tier organization and entertainment.
