Phone app with a clean design, but a distinct "personality"

Our app is used to collect opinions from people on their mobile. It is all around people being able to say what they think, take some pictures, and do it right now! So it is about it being live, vibrant etc.

We already have screenshots from our initial version of the app. We quite like this style, but we think it lacks "character". We want this app to stand out and have more "personality" and we want to see what people can come up with. Note that we like a "clean" style - we don't want overworked fonts etc. We are looking more at colours, backgrounds etc. as a way to discinguish the app.

The key screens we are after initially are the splash screen, the initial registration screen and the home screen. Current versions are attached.

Overly complex, overworked screens is not what we are after. We need personality but "cleanness" to the design.
