larsor got their new app design by running a design contest:
Check out larsor's App design contest…
Games & Recreational
We are in the early stages of building an app that allows it's users to challenge friends or other users. The general idea is to be able to challenge for everything, from Fifa matches on Playstation Online to a real-life pingpong duell, whatever 2 people could compete about they can show their skills and bet real money on it. We'll also have some mini-games integrated in the app where you can show your skills directly and compete with other online users. When a user starts a challenge he can choose if it should be visible to everyone or only his friends. So far we do not have a solid idea for an app name, if something springs to your mind, feel free to let us know, we would be very grateful :)
modern, flat, masculin, action driven / cool dark/gold-white
The app will mainly consist of the following screens: 1) Challenge - List - List of all currently running challenges - grouped by Popular (either most viewed or highest amount or "bets of the day"), Latest and Friends - searching for a title - sorting (e.g. radius / distance to me for real life challenges) Should at least show the avatar of the user, title of the challenge and bet-amount 2) Challenge - Detail When a user clicks on a challenge in the list he is moved to this screen to see the details of the challenge (see the create challenge screen description for the possible information) Show questions and answers about this challenge From this screen he should be able to visit the creators profile and have "action"-buttons: - Accept the challenge - Ask a question, in case something needs to be clarified 3) Create challenge For each challenge there are 3 options: - direct challenge: - choose a user you want to challenge directly - post a challenge: - public challenge: every user can see and accept your challenge - private challenge: only your friends can see and accept the challenge For the start we are thinking of 3 different type of challenges: - InGame, play one of the integrated mini-games - choose a game - set your wager (amount of money) - (and of course the 3 options from above) - "virtual challenge" (all challenges that don't require physical presence) - Titel and description - set your wager (amount of money) - optional you could set an end-date for the challenge - (and of course the 3 options from above) - "real life" challenge (all challenges that require both participants to be physically present) - Titel and description - set your wager (amount of money) - Location, can be a city or a specific bar, sport-arena, event, ... where the challenge will take place - optional you could set an end-date for the challenge - (and of course the 3 options from above) 4) Profile - every user has a publicly visible profile: - avatar - recent and active challenges (he has posted / taken part in) - users own profile should be accesible from the main navigation area, access to settings and the wallet 5) Wallet - Overview of all money transfers: - incoming ( won bets or money transfer from bank-account / paypal) - outgoing ( lost bets or money transfer to bank-account / paypal) - Buttons to add money, transfer-money out 6) User-List - List of all users, grouped by all / friends - shows avatar, username, number of completed challenges - tap on a user / cell opens the public profile We were thinking of having a Tabbar as as main navigation element with the following elements - Challenge-List - Users - Profile But feel free to create designs with other "main navigation" elements :) Since this design-contest is only for 4 screens, we would like you to focus on the following screens: - 1) Challenge List - 2) Challenge Detail - 3) Create Challenge - 5) wallet - if you are overly motivated, feel free to also show us your ideas for the profile screen :)
