We are a tiny start-up with just a programmer and a guy with an idea. This is our first 99designs project as we are becoming familiar with the design world. We will be looking for a great deal of design work to be done over the coming months as we have a fully functional prototype which needs wire-framing and skinning. We have decided to start with the logo design as a way to test the water, as it were, and to familiarise ourselves with the best practice in achieving our design needs. All this means that we are, and will be, extremely grateful for your support and participation and will be sure to leave glowing testimonials for any winners. We would like the design to incorporate the idea of a pool, perhaps a swirling pool to represent the company name, Wordpool (using the letter W seems logical), and its function, a pool of words for a language learner to organise and review. The site will also have some game functionality and will be a shared resource for a larger community. We're looking for something which combines sophistication with fun elements. Some ideas to get you started: * Feel — fun, organic, playful, retro, inspiring… * Objects — whirlpool, words, letters… * Style — hand-drawn lines, 50s poster-art, bold, swirling...
