VM Design Build is a new group of Van Metre Companies, a large home and real estate developer based in the Washington DC area. www.vanmetrecompanies.com/ This division will focus on custom design and building for new home and remodeling projects. VM Design Build offers high income home owners the most innovative design build firm for their remodeling or custom home project, We pair high end design concepts with the most transparent and efficient approach to managing their build.

I'd like to explore the following colors: Blues: Knowledge, trust, calm and honesty. Oranges: Creativity, adventure and happiness. Open to designers recommendations beyond the restrictions outlined below. –While we don’t have a firm color palette selection, we would like to use a modern and energetic colors. We have explored colors in the light/medium blue tones with grays and have liked those but aren’t yet committed to them. Please Do Not use: All Red tones, Navy, True Red, Pink, Hunter Green

Additional direction and requirements: –Design should be clean and modern, not overly ornate. –Do not want construction “symbols” incorporated into the logo- no roof graphic, tools, house forms, etc. –We would like designers to explore an identity icon that could stand alone or with the name. We did some graphic exploration with a circular graphic or medallion that we were drawn to and would like to see additional explorations around one.
