ritteraf got their new logo design by running a design contest:

Games & Recreational
SwagLeagues is a mobile based app that will allow users to compete against their friends in a league format using their video game of choice. Think fantasy football for gamers, without the football. The "Swag" word (or swagger) is reference to when a player thinks they're the best, and they want to gloat over their friends who they just beat in the game. It's most definitely NOT a reference to getting "free swag" at an event. Demographic is overwhelmingly male: ages 16-40 *UPDATE* After receiving the first three submissions, I realized there is some more information here that's required. 1. The majority of users will be PC gamers, and not XBOX/PS4 gamers, but this is irrelevant because.... 2. The focus needs to be on the prize, and not the game or the tournament. The "Swag" reference should indicate this. Give me dat' SWAGGER in the designs! It could be a dude with swag, a swagger trophy, a swagger flat billed hat. Anything with swag. An xbox controller or arrows has no swag. 3. Kids that are talented at video games and not sports will never get to have that massive trophy for winning state football. That's ok - you can have "swag" and be a gamer. SwagLeagues is going to help you prove you're the best, and give you your trophy.
1. Think "flat billed hat" dudes who love showing off their 6 pack 2. Think "fantasy football", and the stereotypical masculine male who thinks he is the "god" of the game. 3. Think guys at a sports bar, and that sterotype 4. Think over competitiveness, and a strong desire to be the champion of your friends. 5. Think March Madness brackets and "winning the championship" 6. Think an NBA all star with 5 championship rings he wears everywhere, and make sure all 5 rings are clearly visible in every photo he's in. 7. Think of a guy with a huge trophy case in house, so that everyone who comes in knows how good he is. I'm feeling a "flat" style logo here since the app will be mobile based, and the logo will need to translate to the app icon. I'm feeling one "power" color that will be the accent color throughout the entire app, then grayscale for everything else. Initially I was thinking gold - in reference to a trophy or medal - with a "shiney-ness" to it, but I'm open to options. As for font suggestions - strong - and or dominant - and or aggressive. I really like that "LL" font in one of the reference logo's I was presented by 99 designs. The "distressed" feel might work. I'm not married to it though.
