Cgrammer got their new logo design by running a design contest:
PowerTools Platform or PTP (possibly combined) needs a new logo

It’s a platform for modeling business objects/processes. The application of these objects is highly flexible, and allows business to quickly adapt to changes for any reason. Business users can build complex relationships between these objects which are viewable and easily changed when necessary. This is powered by sophisticated cacluation engine capable of performing massive amounts of calculations in a matter of seconds.
Logo types to explore
Try to convey surface-level simplicity and speed coupled with underlying complexity and intelligence. Update: We have several people involved in the decision process who would like to suggest elements like gears, the atom, or anything that suggests building blocks. The letters PTP are not a requirement. The colors blue, black, grey and white are working for us. Most of the decision makers are software developers. (if you know many, you will know they are opinionated) :-) Thanks! Update: Another idea to consider. In the movie Contact, There was the machine built that had 3 rings all rotating at the same time in different directions. I believe it was referred to as "The Machine". Update: Some judges would like more designs without PTP incorporated.
