grab life by the balls
Games & Recreational
Pong of Panic is a drinking game that can be played at parties or before parties. It is an addition to the classic drinking game "Beer Pong" where two teams play against each other and try to throw a table tennis ball into the other team's cups. If so they have to drink the cup. With Pong of Panic however there are dares underneath the cups and you can save the cup by doing the dare that is underneath the cup and therefore not have to drink it. This game is already quite popular in the US (called "fear pong"). If you do not know it a quick Google or YouTube search would help you to understand the concept of it.
The logo, the name and the slogan will be printed in a large format (8cm high, 7 cm wide) onto the product packaging. As we will have a plain white background and no or very little extra designs on the front of the packaging, this logo should fill the front of the packaging and basically tell the customer what this poduct is about. Therefore I suggest that you include Beer Pong elements into the logo. This can be a table tennis ball with the special plastic cup that is used to play the game, or maybe the formation in which the cups are placed on the table. I will include pictures as reference. I will also include the product packaging/logo design of the game "Fear Pong" which I really like. The design should only contain 3 colors: mostly black, red highlights and white background. The design should look very clean. Please take the fear pong game as a reference. Maybe you can also include that the dares are not very easy and not boring at all into the logo. This could be done by adding a death skull (as in the fear pong design), alien head or a gasmask for example. These however should not look scary. The slogan "grab life by the balls" should not be incorporated heavily into the logo as it will only be shown in the front of the packaging. The logo should work even if the slogan is removed. (See the slogan "internet famous" on the fear pong design.) You have probably figured out yet that I really like the fear pong design. As this game will be sold in Germany you can and SHOULD definetly use the fear pong design (only sold in the US) as an inspiration or even as a model. However it should not look like a total copy of it. Try to make it unique and creative. This is what makes or breaks the design for me. It is also crucial to add character to the design. Try to give the brand a "face" (literally a face/skull/stick figure/emoji etc. OR figuratively) that is recognizable (!) and creates a connection to the customer. Also imporatant is that if someone looks at the box they have to go: "Oh, this is for Beer Pong!" Therefore it is important to have beer pong elements in your design. In summary the key elements that I am looking for: - creative/unique - character/"face"/recognizeable - beer pong elements
