Impact Property Services, Nashville TN
I own a home improvement/remodel business based in Nashville, TN. The target audience is across the board - young hipsters in their first house to retirees who have lived 50 years in the same location. I only do residential improvements and most customers are homeowners, not renters.
My company is Impact Property Services, IPS for short. I'd like to stress the IPS acronym by featuring it prominently. There is no artwork or specific image to incorporate into this logo. What I'm envisioning is a round design that can be printed on tshirt pockets and baseball caps. The attached examples are very rough guidelines. However, I would like the logo to resemble a vintage patch in some sense, since I will likely print up actual patches for hats. I'm thinking IPS in bold letters, with Impact Property Services arched at the top and Nashville, TN arched at the bottom. Navy blue for IPS, black for the other text. I would be open to different combinations, but blue, black and white would be the only colors to incorporate. The font and design itself would be reminiscent of vintage style without being kitschy or overtly derivative of another product or design. I lean towards minimalist and simple design, though a flourish here or there would be okay. My business does a lot of deck work (construction/staining/repair), so I'm open to subtle and tasteful incorporation of that into the logo, if possible (this means NO "branding" effect on a wood grain background, ha ha). I'm not really sure how this would work on a "patch" type design, but that's why you design logos and I build decks, I guess. Please keep in mind that this logo will be printed on shirts and hats, so it's important that it not be too busy or difficult to read (or print) when sized down. Thank you! Update 7/25: I've uploaded a few more logo examples. I like how these have a circular design, but not always a defined circle. I also like the incorporation of the ribbon/bowtie effect or basic geometric pattern in the background. Ultimately I would like to see a logo with versions of each (one w/ a defined circle for printing up patches, and one w/o a circle for other logo uses). I'd also encourage all the designers to remember 1) that this is for a construction/renovation company, and 2) try to incorporate a vintage font/aesthetic to the design. I'm liking some of what I'm seeing already, but thought I'd offer a few more specifics to zero in on the design. Keep up the good work. Thanks guys!
