Fun Logo Re-Design Project - need inspiration!!

Hello! I put together a short video that explains what I am trying to accomplish with this logo re-design. It's about 5 minutes long, I hope it helps! Here's the link: https://youtu.be/x_phU2bEXDY If you can't watch the video, here's a little back ground: We are a home improvement company that sells/offers high-end, quality products and services designed to make your home of office better, nicer, more enjoyable, more attractive etc. Here's the tricky part (from a branding position), we market each of our brands individually (they each have their own name/web site/facebook page etc). For example, "Polytek Surface Coatings" (www.mypolytek.com) is our concrete coatings business, and "Red Nose Lighting" (www.rednoselighting.com) is our Christmas lighting service business, and Stōnworks (www.stonworks.com) offers stone solutions for showers, fireplace surrounds, etc. Anyway, "Zimprovements" is our "Corporate" or "Umbrella" name for our parent company. You can visit the current website (will be updated after new branding/logo project!) to get a better feel. ONE POSSIBLE CONSIDERATION - if there would be a way to somehow incorporate our other brands/logos into/under the new logo, that would be great, likely that will be weird and get to be too cluttered, but at least keep in mind that the company by itself (Zimprovements" doesn't DO or SELL anything really...our individual brands stand alone in all of their marketing (for example: Polytek Surface Coatings..."A Zimprovements company"... We are opening a new showroom (brick and motor location in Minnesota), so we need to consider signage for the building, and will have to incorporate all of our brands somehow (open to suggestions!). I do like a creative mark (in addition to the name/font) It's really important that when people see it, they easily and correctly pronounce the name "zim provements" - (not zim-improvements for example)
