'Another Round' is the name of a new mobile app that allows people on a golf course to order food and beverages remotely so they can be delivered directly from the clubhouse while you are out on the course. The app may also evolve into a platform to reserve and schedule tee-time bookings at golf courses. Right now we are mainly focused on developing the right logo to communicate this idea. We would like this logo to also work well as an icon on a phone's homepage, so please design these logos with that in mind. The colors/aesthetics are open-ended, but we do know we would like to have a golf ball in this logo which we recognize is difficult to read when it is scaled down to the size of an icon. Regarding the concept, we already tested some options of golf balls in sunglasses, etc, and right now we like the idea of treating the golf ball as if it were a coconut drink (with the top cut off and a straw or a drink umbrella in it). If you have any other ideas they are very welcome! We know simpler is better when it comes to an app icon/logo, but we still want the idea to be playful. In terms of aesthetics, we are open to suggestions but would prefer something fairly simple while still being a little playful. I have done some of my own sketches derived from a pixelated Pacman aesthetic, and my business partner was also interested in the appearance of the movie logo for 'Happy Madison' although I'm concerned about the legibility of the cursive font. I've attached some of these reference files here. Our latest preference is for some kind of golf ball drink (like a coconut) with the Pacman pixelated aesthetic, but again we're definitely looking for new ideas - right now we're a bit stumped and we are turning to you for the inspiration! Ultimately, the design of the icon/logo should give an impression of the app's purpose. I've also attached some draft logos we had produced which we thought were ok, but they did not really communicate the idea or the feeling behind the app and did not seem like they could easily be scaled down into an icon - please feel free to look at these for your reference even though we will not use them.
