seanch got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Design A Dark, Deathly Logo For A New Publisher

Entertainment & The Arts
Psychopomp will publish books and stories related to death, the afterlife, the underworld, dark, witchy, goth vibes.
Google what a psychopomp is so you fully appreciate the mood I want this logo to be. Black and white (or some combination of like charcoal grey and bone-white), but this should not be a particularly colorful logo. You can be super creative, but in my head I imagine the logo will have a graphic element beside a word "psychopomp" -- and I imagine the graphic element will include something like... a scythe, a skull, an hour glass, etc. Also google "memento mori" and read about that concept, as that is super duper on brand and a big vibe of what we're all about. An update to help focus the direction of these designs: Dial down the "horror" factor by A LOT. We are not a horror publisher. Think more... academic, exploring death, reading myths of the afterlife across different cultures. I'm less likely to be interested in just a skull pictograph vs. something that communicates the idea of the afterlife, or the leading of souls to their final resting place (seriously, ready the Psychopomp wikipedia entry)... Also, the logo needs to be super dope and easily scannable as it will live on the spine of ALL my books... :)
