eric.patton got their new logo design by running a design contest:
2D Side-Scrolling Video Game Title Logo

Games & Recreational
This is a logo for a game we're developing, not our company. The game is a 2D side-scrolling combat oriented genre where you play as a teddy bear that fights nightmares. The game isn't a cute, happy setting, so the logo shouldn't be something overly happy. The teddy bear as the main character is meant to represent something comforting and not something silly. "Aegis" in the name of the game is meant as "Protector" or "Defender", and the teddy bear represents this. The game will be a difficult and sometimes scary experience. The gameplay is similar to Dark Souls (if you've played that) where it's not fast-paced, but methodical where the player has to plan out their actions to beat these huge nightmares as a teddy bear. Also, this game will be released on PC, Mac, and Linux first and then on consoles, so the logo doesn't need to be sized for app store dimensions.
Other color requirements
I'd like to explore the following colors: Light neutrals: Purity, balance and sophistication. Let designers make suggestions:
