Trillium Analytics
We sell analytical/data science services (data exploration & visualization, statistical forecasting, predictive modeling, machine learning and optimization). Target audience is any company looking to gain greater insight about their customers/products and/or trying to make proactive, well informed business decisions grounded in objective data.
The inspiration for the combined usage of 'trillium & analytics' is two fold:
1) The Trillium Flower (Provincial Flower of Ontario, Canada where my business is based) is a 3 pronged flower, similar to a venn diagram
2) The field of Analytics/Data Science lies at the intersection of three areas of expertise, namely: Business/Domain Expertise, Mathematics/Statistics and I.T./Computer Science.
(Googling both "Trillium Logo" & "Analytic Venn" will be very helpful to get a sense)
I was originally envisioning something with some vintage appeal....something incorporating a trillium shape (not literally a trillium flower) where each of the three petal outlines was a series of popular business/mathematical/statistical/computer science symbols arranged in descending size around the petal in the hope of giving it some dimension.
However, I'm not a designer...I'm totally open to (and relying on) creative ideas through this process as a result of the design/style inspiration and guidance provided above. That said, the logo should be able to stand on it's own with or without the words "Trillium Analytics" so that it can used effectively as an icon, etc..
