DJAAmber got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Create a Corporate / Member Logo for a Technology Organization
Check out DJAAmber's Logo design contest…
The 25 Gigabit Ethernet Consortium is an open organization to all third parties who wish to participate as members to enable the transmission of Ethernet frames at 25 or 50 Gigabit per second (Gbps) and to promote the standardization and improvement of the interfaces for applicable products. The 25 Gigabit Ethernet Consortium enables industry participants to develop new technologies that function in accordance with the Specification(s) outlined in the consortium agreement in order to benefit consumers and the industry by facilitating accelerated adoption of 25 and/or 50 Gbps technologies.
Logo types to explore
The 25G Ethernet Consortium needs a logo to represent the mission and ambitions of the consortium and it needs a variant of that logo that includes the word “Member” to allow companies to identify themselves as members and can be posted to its member’s websites. There are no color or graphic requirements, but the technology should be of focus, particularly that the consortium represents 25 and/or 50 Gbps technologies. Ethernet is the most commonly used networking protocol in the industry today and in data centers, the fastest version of Ethernet operates at 10 gigabits per second (Gbps). The next step up from that is 100 Gbps, but that’s too much bandwidth for many applications. 100G Ethernet is really four lanes of 25 Gbps each and thus the consortium wants to create a standard for these intermediate speeds.
