wanted: set of online store templates coded to web standards plus a logo for the business
GIM Global Integrative Medicine
What's your vision?
We need a set of coded html templates, plus all related image files in adobe photoshop or illustrator format and all CSS files, for an herbal health supplements website. We will need you to provide two variations on one template set you create, one variation for a mainstream global audience, and one targeted specifically to a Vietnamese and other Asian audience for: 1. a home page 2. a page containing an article, news item, product testimonial, or description of the company (heavy on text) 3. a product page with photo, description, and short testimonial of a product that can be purchased online 4. a page to list the entire product catalog (about 60 products total), with listings by a. product name b. health condition c. herbal ingredient The template variations can be the same except the color palette for each and the image set used is different. The mainstream version of the templates should look warm and modern. The Asian version should use colors and design motifs that are appropriate to the target audience, for example, no use of the color black, some use of red, use of photos of Asian people, etc. Both versions should be highly readable without any very small text, and text should mostly be on a white background. I.Structure a.Top banner: i. On the left side: features company logo and possibly a slogan on the left side. ii. In the middle, we can list language versions. iii. The right side will display a shopping cart with the amount of products and price reflecting any purchases. Next or below it could be a search box and member log in. b.Mid banner can feature graphics, photo or design that can be updated or changed out easily without having to do heavy redesigning. This is where we can also list the main pages such as: -Home page -About GIM -Wellness Zone -Product -Contact us c.The body can consist of a three column: i.Left column features: -Site Categories: o Clinic Locations o Join us o Charity o Newsletter subscription o Our Sponsors o Buyers Club o News o Articles o Research o Clinical Trials o Documentations o Testimonials -Shopping Center (Click and menu pulls down): o Herbal Medicine --Browse by Product Name --Browse by Health Condition --Browse by Body Part or System --Browse by Ingredients o Health Products --Browse by Product Name -Quick Links ii.Middle column: 1.Welcoming message and a brief explanation about the benefits of herbal medicine and a statement about the companys commitment. 2.Top Products and Featured Products, Special Promotions 3.Featured News 4.Featured Articles 5.Featured Testimonials iii.Right column: 1.Make a donation to our Charity Fund 2.Features Poll 3.Future Advertising of related or sponsoring websites. The code should be compliant with web-standards, meaning as much as possible the color, typeface, positioning, and other design elements should be housed in a CSS file, and the html pages should primarily just contain structural information so the code is compact, readable, and easily editable by the webmaster who will fill your templates with our content. Also, the website should be set up to be compatible to work with a Yahoo Store, their shopping card, product catalog and applications. Do not use frames or browser-specific technologies because the site must look equally good on Mac and PC using Safari or Internet Explorer. See http://www.shopgim.com/, http://www.goutwell.com/, http://www.hls-herbs.com/, and http://getwellnatural.com/ to see most of the products that will be listed. http://www.shopgim.com/ shows another template-based design we started but abandoned because we had to modify the original template so much to add features we wanted it was starting to lose its design integrity. That page may give you some ideas of what we're talking about if any of the above is not clear. Although we are looking for a functional and professional website, we are definitely open to new and creative ideas that can make the site both unique and creative. If you have any resources that can organize the features and content to make the website overall look and feel and accessibility become more efficient, please feel free to demonstrate. As for the logo it should be reproducible at any size and resolution without quality loss or pixellation, so in other words a vector file is needed, preferably in Adobe Illustrator or photoshop format. The logo will be used on the website and for future printing on medicine bottles. Please consider a global branding, functional yet has a natural feel to it.
