Brotherwise Games needs a new logo

Games & Recreational
Brotherwise Games is a small start-up company looking to break into the very competitive world of hobby games. We sell table-top, board, and card games. Our customers are likely to have interests in comics, collectibles, nerd culture, role playing games, fantasy and science fiction. They are intelligent, witty, and engaged by healthy escapism. Our first game, Boss Monster, is a nostalgia-filled card game that features 8-bit and 16-bit video game references and allows players to become the Boss Monster at the end of deadly dungeon. Boss Monster is currently being Kickstarted to raise funds and has become one of the most popular tabletop games on Kickstarter. See the campaign here: (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/brotherwise/boss-monster-the-dungeon-building-card-game). We have a number of games in the pipeline, covering a range of genres from fantasy to science fiction to more traditional family games. While Boss Monster is characterized by 8- and 16-bit references, our other games will not be, so this theme should not necessarily be incorporated into the log.
Logo types to explore
We are very interested in having two owls incorporated into the logo as a play on Brother-"Wise." The owls should be detailed enough that they can be recognizably changed for individual games we are releasing. For example, if we are releasing a fantasy game we are likely to dress the owls up as wizards; a science fiction game might have them as robots; etc. We are particularly fond of a clockwork or steam punk look for the log and the owls, though we realize this may be challenging to do for a logo. A quick google of "steampunk owl" turns up a number of images we find interesting. We would anticipate an ongoing relationship with the commissioned artist to customize the owls for each game box. The core "Brotherwise" part of the logo would be stable and iconic across games.
