Jeremiaharsenault got their new illustration or graphics by running a design contest:
New illustration wanted for IT Cloud Services Company
Check out Jeremiaharsenault's Illustration or graphics contest…
We provide cloud computing services to businesses, but I want a cartoon-like depiction of what the 'cloud' is and how everyone is already using it. Please follow the brief below exactly, that is exactly what I want to see!
What's your vision?
Total width of the image 1280 pixels wide, all important information in the drawing no wider than 980 pixels. The image needs to be repeatable horizontally. This is for web use, so for varying screen sizes and resolutions, it needs to be repeatable. The image might better be designed as 2 separate layers, the 1st layer being the background, that will be repeatable horizontally, and the 2nd layer be the main design within 980 pixels wide layed over the background layer. Please design it in Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator. I want a drawing that is cartoony, but sends a clear message. This is EXACTLY what I want to see, please do not veer from this brief: Take a look at the first attachment of the sea floor and the items in the sand, this is the style of art that I want. This raw, almost hand drawn feel… I want to have clouds in the sky, with similar characters to the 2nd attachment typing in data to a computer, to the far right, I want a cartoony data center (google images- 'data center') that all the clouds/cartoony characters on the clouds are connected to. I then want to see data, music, emails, photos, videos, movies, books, calendar information, text messages, etc. all dropping from the sky to different cartoony people on the ground. Also depict the data like a cartoony wave initially (like the 3rd attachment), but have it become more clear, what it is (music, text, email, etc.), as it gets closer to the intended object or person. I want to see a kid, an adult, someone working, someone exercising, a couple, a building with a lot of data going to it, a car(s) receiving GPS or music, etc. all receiving the information from the clouds. Make the characters diverse in age, race, societal class, etc. When appropriate, you can show data, images, email, text messages, all going to the clouds as well. I want the items to be recognizable coming from the sky, to the people on the ground. So for music, draw a depiction of famous albums being sent to someone with an iPod (the Beatles Abbey Road, The famous Nirvana cover with the baby in the pool), for books, draw a depiction of The Hobbit, or Catcher in the Rye coming down to someone with a Kindle. For movies, show Star Wars coming down to someone with a tablet, etc. But make emails, data, calendar info, etc. all uniquely depicted in a cool cartoon way, in a style like the sea floor attachment provided. The image can have a much greater height than it can have width. As described above, it needs to be repeatable horizontally. But you can have people on different levels/planes and continue the drawing vertically. For example, you could have data going to someone in the upper floors of a building, on the roof of another building, then to the floors below, then to someone on an elevated street, then you could have a park below the road or overpass, etc. Continuing the drawing down the page. It will reveal more of the image as the person scrolls down on the webpage. That's it, thanks for participating!
Just create the illustration like the example drawing, and following the brief, and it will be exactly what we want. Thanks!
