rfitzpatrick got their new illustration or graphics by running a design contest:
Create an arresting 2-page brochure for a software company selling to pharma
Check out rfitzpatrick's Illustration or graphics contest…
Cora is a software company. It sells enterprise-level software solutions (i.e. $100,000+ for a solution) to large organisations for project management. Its clients are in the following sectors: healthcare, medical devices, pharmaceutical, government and engineering. Its clients are in Ireland, UK and USA.
What's your vision?
I want to design a 2-page brochure. The primary creative design work will involve the following (in order of importance): 1. Create 6 new icons to illustrate product features (attached are previous stock ones used taken from the web). The icons relate to project management. The company's software is sold to billion-dollar organisations (e.g. Intel, Honeywell, DS Smith, Tupperware, City of London) so the audience is relatively serious; however we would like icons that capture the attention so there is licence to be creative. The icons are supposed to represent the descriptions in the text. I have included keywords to indicate the emphasis. Please DELETE the keywords when typesetting the text. 2. Be creative in the design and layout (attached is a previous amateur brochure layout we used by a former member of the marketing team (without graphic designer skills), which was created using Photoshop 3. suggest (if necessary) a better cover image to use that denotes the pharmaceutical industry ... attached is a sample we could use - a map of Europe in pills (i.e. to denote the pharma industry)
1. As mentioned, I will attach 6 icons that have been used in a previous brochure. They are for GUIDANCE only (and are stock images taken from the web). Please create better, more striking images. The winning entry will primarily be judged on this part of the exercise. They can be found on page 1 (of the attached 2-page brochure). 2. The company's corporate colours are green and blue. The pantone references are as follows: Green: C - 55, M - O, Y - 100, K - 0 Blue: C - 71, M - 15, Y - O, K - O 3. I will attach the text that will be used for the brochure. 4. I will attach the company logo (but please DELETE the 3 words 'control', 'visibility' 'simplicity' when typesetting, i.e. only use the Cora with the arrows). 5. Please use the old brochure only as guidance, i.e. use your discretion about how best to layout the brochure 6. Once I select the best entry there is scope for a lot more design work with Cora Systems, i.e. design & layout of a suite of brochures and case studies, creation of new illustrations for use in PowerPoint slides, animated video work, etc.
