Carrie.turner got their new icon or button by running a design contest:
New Software Icon for TC Technology
Check out Carrie.turner's Icon or button contest…
TC Technology is a niche software company that provides products and professional services to the North American utility market. Software products include a new offering called MIMS. MIMS stands for mobile information management system, which automates work cycles by helping utilities to schedule, dispatch, and complete field work - all with a map. MIMS software includes both web and mobile applications
What's your vision?
TC Technology anticipates a family of icons for its MIMS applications. The design requests two of these icons - one to establish the theme for the family of icons and serve as the console icon and one as an example of the theme. Brief background on the requested icons: >> Console icon (theme icon): the MIMS Console is the primary web application used by most web application users and therefore establishes the theme for the product >> Sync icon (example of theme icon): MIMS Sync is the synchronization application on the mobile client that is used to view sync status of information (jobs, maps, etc.)
Guidance: >> Leverage the current look and feel of the company website and logo (www.tctechnology.com) >> MIMS Console: Capture the spirit of this combination of words: web app, easy to use, inviting, reliable, helpful, create, assign, schedule, dispatch, jobs, maps >> MIMS Sync: Capture the spirit of this combination of words: mobile apps, background process, reliable, sync jobs, sync maps, sync status >> The icons will need to be clear and visible at 32 x 32 and at 16 x 16
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. Icon or button starts at €179.

And then… they selected a winner!
Dunja was an incredible designer to work with. She was very professional and extremely talented. We started working with her with a vague idea of what we wanted for a logo. We had a vision we shared with her and within the first few designs she was able to deliver a powerful and iconic logo for our brand. Her attention to detail and her commitment to quality is outstanding.
She was extremely fast at getting back to us even with the time difference. Her positive energy through her comments and suggestions made us fall in love with the design even more.
Her skills and creativity is off the charts and we can not wait to keep working with her. She was very responsive and receptive to our feedback and she implemented the changes right away and always with new and creative suggestions.
All in all she's a 10 out 10 designer and we HIGHLY recommend her to anyone looking for an eye catching logo and brand identity. She's very reliable and super responsible. A remarkable designer for anyone looking to have a one of kind logo! ;)
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
