brandoncadams got their new character or mascot by running a design contest:
Military Card Game Leader Character
Check out brandoncadams's Character or mascot contest…
Games & Recreational
We are creating a card game targeted at highschool and college age boys. Featuring military themes and landscapes.
What's your vision?
We are looking for a card to be part of our prototype leader card set. Leader cards in this game feature a military figure head. It should be a healthy looking (strong but not bulky), persian, male, in a rugged uniform. His uniform should be patched together as though he's the general of a rouge army. Feel free to take liberties with military symbols, etc. as long as it's not offensive. He should have a confident and dangerous look overall, I can't stress this enough (no smiles). The images should be very black/dark heavy. The time period for the characters should be set in the very near future, roughly 5-10 years from now. We will include concept imagery that resembles the overall style we're looking for. Dimensions for the print are 2.5" x 3.5", at least 600 dpi, portrait layout, but we will need extra background for bleed and positioning. The lower third of the card may not be visible in the final printing. All artwork must be original. 99Designs will catch those who have plagurized as a part of their review processes for winners.
One of the attached examples is what was done in a previous competition, you can see it's a copy of parts of this assassin's creed image. However, we liked this design the best. Another artist might be able to create something original from this direction.
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. Character or mascot starts at €319.
