pottermanhollow got their new logo & brand identity pack by running a design contest:
Create modern/classic brand image for reclaimed-to-repurposed timber framer

'Imagine What We Could Create Together' We will likely use the logo with and without a slogan, so make sure it works both ways.
(add 1) A 'hollow' is a clearing, possibly a natural meadow, in the forest. Since it was already free of trees, it was common to build a house and barn(s) in the hollow and set up a homestead. The 'hollow' would then become known by the name of the settlers who built there. If there was a stream nearby it would be an ideal place for a water-powered mill. So, Potterman (the imaginary family name) Hollow (the location back in the woods) is the place one would go to get quality crafted timber goods. It's unlikely this story is conveyed wholly in a logo, but the logo does need to support it. We design and fabricate unique timber structures (i.e. pergolas, gazebos, timber trusses & entries, etc), barn doors, fireplace mantels, etc. We frequently, tho not exclusively, utilize reclaimed timbers. Our finished items tend to be higher up the price scale, so our target customer is frequently a second-home/cabin owner in a resort area (Jackson Hole, WY; Sun Valley, ID; Park City, UT; etc). Our customers are also those designers and general contractors that serve the end buyer.
Other color requirements
I'd like to explore the following colors: Greens: Growth, harmony and success. Purples: Imagination, spirituality, royalty and luxury. Light neutrals: Purity, balance and sophistication.
