William L. Myers, Jr.
William L. Myers, Jr. is a Philadelphia trial lawyer and the author of the best-selling thriller series—Philadelphia Legal. He has tried cases up and down the East Coast and has argued before the United States Supreme Court. He lives outside Philadelphia with his wife, Lisa.
When good guy Remington Bohne (“Remi Bone”) learns he’s dying of heart failure, he lets himself be persuaded into a gun-for-hire scheme to stockpile money for his daughter’s college education. The scheme, targeting drug dealers, quickly goes awry and Remi finds himself the target of the mayor of Philadelphia, a wily detective, the Remi’s boss, the bottom-feeding lawyer behind the scheme, and Remi’s own daughter. With the help of a hard-case priest who used to beat him up, Remi seeks redemption while trying to ensure that his daughter never learn he has become the notorious “Tick Tock Killer.”
Fans of psychological thrillers.
Book cover type
The mood/tone of the novel is tongue-in-cheek; a cross between Elmore Leonard’s novels featuring dirt bag bad guys (e.g., Get Shorty) and Carl Hiaasen’s irreverent and satirical novels. The cover should not be too serious or dark, but should be quirky and fun (maybe poke fun of itself). We are attaching 3 sample covers submitted by the author. Of these three, we prefer the one with the red background, so something similar to this one would be great.
What to avoid
We prefer to leave off the tagline "Tick tock says the clock. Times up mother F."
