What's your vision?
I need 1 non-fiction self-help book cover deigned. This project has the potential for 2 follow up paid projects too. Online course graph and logo designs and live speaking banner designs. On the front cover I need the title MASTERING CHAOS in the largest font (which also acts as the tag line.) The subtitle: The Entrepreneurial Secret to Stop Sabotaging Your Hierarchy of Happiness, in smaller font and the author name Robin Nickerson. This book cover will come in 2 versions Paper back 6 x 9 (Create Space specs) and ebook.

I wanted to get things set way in advance so I can build momentum with a launch. Because I don’t have a finished manuscript I don’t know my exact spine size. I am happy to release the prize to you as long as I can do some follow-up minor tweaks along the way (e.g. the spine width adjustment, etc) What are your thoughts? CHECKLIST: (1) Hardcover/Softcover Barcodes = I generated the actual hardcover barcode and softcover barcode too. They are attached. The more expensive one is obviously for the hard cover. Trim Size = My trim size is 5.5 x 8.5. Create space is printing the softcover. Can you please use their dimensions for the design? Ingram Spark is printing the hardcover. Can you please use their dimensions for the design? Remember, I need these with the correct bleeds too. BISAC category = I’m currently working with create space to request the BISAC gets added to the UPC- so I need to add: CLBF Personal Growth/Business. Please see upload "UPC update" for example of how this should look.. see attachment (2) Audiobook I included attached some examples. I also included dimension suggestions from Audible and ACX. (3) Ebook I imagine you know the dimensions Amazon Kindle requires? I included information from kindle below too. (4) Design Files and PDF of the Cover without text I need the cover image (front and back) without any text. My website designer needs these in a PDF version and Design File (.psd) without text. He needs to be able to modify it so the website matches the cover. I tried to make it easy for you. And so I did some work on these sites and found what they suggest in terms of sizes. See below. File name should be condensed book title. Alphanumeric characters only. Image Content: Must contain both the name of the title and author(s). Cannot refer to physical media (such as CD’s) other than the audio presented. Cannot show scans of jewel cases, promotional stickers, or cellophane. No pornographic or offensive materials. Kindle: (ebook) https://kdp.amazon.com/help?topicId Creating a Catalog / Cover Image Before You Begin: Make sure you have all rights necessary for the content of your cover image and that it complies with our Content Guidelines. Don't include your cover image in your manuscript file. When you publish or republish your book, we will automatically add your cover image to the inside. File Types Dimensions Size Color Borders for White Cover Art Uploading Your Cover Product Image Placeholders File Types Kindle Direct Publishing currently accepts two types of files for cover images: JPEG (JPEG / JPG) TIFF (TIF / TIFF) We apply additional compression to images when displaying them on the website. For best results, please upload your images with minimal compression. Dimensions Requirements for the size of your cover art must have an ideal height/width ratio of at least 8:5 (1.6), meaning: A minimum of 625 pixels on the shortest side and 1000 pixels on the longest side For best quality, your image should be 2500 pixels on the longest side Important: We cannot accept any images larger than 10,000 pixels on the longest side. Size Your cover image must be less than 50MB. If the file type you are using supports compression, make sure to enable as little compression as possible, e.g. none for TIFF. Be sure to save your file with 72 dots per inch (DPI). Color Product images display on the Amazon website using the RGB (red, green, blue) color mode or profile. RGB is the color mode native to the web and many color screen displays, as these three colors displayed at varying levels of intensity create over 16 million colors. When saving and uploading your cover image file, save your file ONLY as RGB - not CMYK or sRGB- for the color profile. You can usually find this option in the File saving dialog of image manipulation programs such as Photoshop. Some programs may also refer to RGB color as 'True Color' in some programs. If in doubt, try opening a JPG inside Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari. If a JPG opens fine inside a web browser, it's most likely okay to use as a cover image. Make sure to save your image without color separation. This is usually a pre-press or color palette option. Use your image manipulation program or image analysis tool (some are available free online) to verify that your image file doesn't have color separation. Use color images whenever possible and relevant. In addition to the Kindle black and white E Ink reading devices, customers can read your books on full color Fire devices and free Kindle reading apps for iPhone, iPad, Android, PC or Mac. Borders for White Cover Art Cover art with white or very light backgrounds can seem to disappear against the white background. Adding a very narrow (3-4 pixel) border in medium gray will define the boundaries of the cover.

The only snag I encountered as a first time user of 99designs was after I chose a designer to work with, I didn't know I was supposed to sign the initial agreement, and then when work was done I would authorize payment. It's a two-step signing process. I think my designer probably experienced a little bit of anxiety along the way wondering if I was serious about the project. He gathered that from my emails but was always left a bit on an edge. Anyways, my designer was just wonderful. Always responsive, getting right back to me, making all the changes I asked for. I will certainly use 99designs again, and would be pleased to work with my designer again! This is a great organization. Keep up the good work!
