Our company makes laser scanners. The target audience is mechanical engineers and optical engineers looking for a book about laser scanning.
What's your vision?
BOOK SIZE WILL BE 6 INCHES BY 9 INCHES ============================== FRONT COVER: Pretty much as shown in my example cover that I uploaded. You will need to source pictures of a hand-held barcode scanner like the one shown in the lower left, and either source or make a picture of laser projectors projecting downward in a factory as shown around the middle of the cover. The fonts, “scan lines”, etc. shown in the fonts are good and these should be retained. ============================== BACK COVER: The back cover should be divided into two sections. The top section describes what the person can expect from reading the book. The bottom section describes my bio. A picture should be worked in there as well, and you can find a file with my picture here: http://www.pangolin.com/_Files/MainProfilePic.jpg Prospective text for the back cover is shown below. EVERYTHING YOU EVER WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT LASER SCANNERS This book describes a variety of laser scanners and how they might be used to create great products. The author begins by illustrating some existing products that use laser scanners. He then discusses several types of laser scanners and how they can be configured for one-dimensional, two-dimensional and even three-dimensional scanning. This book has a special emphasis on galvanometer-based optical scanners because of their versatility and high optical throughput, although other types of laser scanners are also described including acousto-optic, electro-optic, polygonal, resonant, and MEMS scanners. The author developed ScannerMAX scanners; there is a chapter devoted to the design features of these “stronger, cooler, faster” devices. Additional information covers signal connections, and tips for the process of designing a new product in general. ————————————————— William R. One of the items on the cover is a picture of our scanners (top-right). However, the other pictures on the cover will need to be obtained from a site such as Geddy Images or the like.
